Introduction and thesis statement for summer reading essay

In most stories the main character has a preconceived notion of another character that views them in a poor way but in the end,  the main character is proved wrong. However in the book Paper Towns by John Green the main character's preconceived notion is unexpected in the sense that he has unrealistic expectations of one of the characters. The book is about a teenage boy named Q who is in love with Margo, or at least the idea of her . During the course of the book Q learns that Margo isn't all that she seems and he begins to question his feelings towards her. In the end he discoveries that he never really knew her enough to be actually in love with her . Freshmen in high school should read Paper Towns because of the important life lessons in the book , the unique and well developed characters, and how the book was entertaining and suspenseful.
